1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Player Two ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Player Two is a tennis identity and reputation platform that enables players to create verified profiles, log matches, rate peers, and discover other players. The Service includes mobile applications and web-based interfaces.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading match results or ratings
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service

5. Ratings and Reviews

Player ratings are based on peer assessments and match history. We use statistical methods including recency weighting and outlier detection to maintain rating integrity. Players may flag ratings they believe are inaccurate.

6. SMS Communications

By providing your phone number during signup, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Player Two related to your account activity, including match confirmations, rating requests, new connections, and security notifications. Message frequency varies based on your activity on the Service. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@readyplayertwo.app. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase. We will never share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Privacy Policy

Your use of the Service is also governed by this Privacy Policy, which describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, username, email address, phone number, date of birth, profile photo, home court, and skill level.
  • Match and rating data: matches you log, scores, opponents, locations, dates, peer ratings, and reliability signals.
  • Messaging content: messages you send to other players through the Service.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and interactions with the Service.

How we use your information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Send transactional SMS and email notifications (match confirmations, rating requests, connection activity, security)
  • Generate ratings, reliability scores, and credibility weighting
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of these Terms
  • Comply with legal obligations

What is public

Your username, profile photo, home city, NTRP rating, reliability score, and verified match count are visible on your public profile page. Your phone number, email, private messages, and exact address are never displayed publicly.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, Supabase for data storage, Twilio for SMS delivery, and Google Cloud for authentication and court data), and only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any SMS message to stop receiving texts
  • Edit your profile or delete your account at any time from Settings
  • Request a copy of your data or deletion by emailing privacy@readyplayertwo.app

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Player Two and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Player Two shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via the Service or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
