This Privacy Policy describes what information Player Two collects, how we use it, and your choices. It supplements our Terms of Service.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, username, email address, phone number, profile photo, and home court or club.
  • Playing details you choose to add: skill level, preferred formats, availability, gender, height, handedness, backhand type, and equipment.
  • Match and rating data: matches you log, opponents, courts, dates, the session ratings you submit and receive, and reliability signals such as confirmations, cancellations, and no-shows.
  • Messaging content: messages you send to other players through the Service.
  • Payment information: if you save a card, our payment processor stores the card and returns a token. We keep only the brand, last four digits, and expiry date. Full card numbers never reach our servers.
  • Linked ratings: if you connect a UTR account, we store your UTR player ID and your singles and doubles ratings.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, push notification tokens, and interactions with the Service.

How we use your information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Send transactional SMS and email notifications (match confirmations, rating requests, connection activity, bookings, receipts, security)
  • Calculate your skill level and reliability score. Levels come from a nightly model run over the session ratings players submit, and are published with a confidence band rather than as an exact measurement.
  • Approximate your location from your home court or club so nearby players and courts can be surfaced
  • Process payments, bookings, and refunds
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of the Terms
  • Comply with legal obligations

What is public

Your profile page at readyplayertwo.app/username is public and does not require a login to view. It shows your username, name, profile photo, bio, general location, gender, skill level and confidence band, reliability score, and your match, connection, and rating counts.

Ratings are always anonymous. Individual ratings and the identity of who rated you are never shown to anyone, including you — only aggregates appear. Your phone number, email address, saved payment details, private messages, and precise location are never displayed publicly.

AI features

Two optional features send your data to AI providers. AI headshots send the photo you upload to an image generation provider to produce portrait variants. AI profile summaries send your public profile statistics to a language model provider to draft a short bio, which you can edit or delete. Both are opt-in, and neither runs unless you start it. We also screen uploaded avatars and chosen usernames through an automated moderation service.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who help us operate the Service, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
  • Twilio — SMS delivery
  • Resend — email delivery
  • Stripe — payment processing and card storage
  • Google — sign-in and court location data
  • fal.ai — AI headshot generation
  • Anthropic — AI profile summaries
  • OpenAI — automated avatar and username moderation
  • Universal Tennis — rating lookup, only if you link a UTR account

If you book at a club through Player Two, that club’s staff can see your name, contact details, and the bookings, payments, and program enrollments associated with their club. We may also disclose information if required by law.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any SMS message to stop receiving texts
  • Turn off non-essential SMS in Settings. Match confirmations and security messages always send.
  • Edit your profile at any time from Settings
  • Remove a saved card from Settings at any time
  • Request a copy of your data, deletion of your account, or disconnection of a linked UTR account by emailing privacy@readyplayertwo.app

Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account we remove your profile and take it off public pages. Records we are required to keep, such as payment and refund history, are retained for as long as the law requires. Matches and ratings involving other players are retained in anonymized form so their own history and level stay intact.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
